(that is if i don't count the da-da, ma-ma, ba-ba, ga-ga that she accords to us randomly). but Dog is said with both comprehension and precision, ie. point at said animal and enunciate. not "doh", not "dor", but "dog". when they do that, it sets your heart a-flutter! now, she's added to her repertoire. thankfully, she can do the usual ma-ma etc with comprehension. she can also point to real or pictorial bananas and go "na-na"! with glee. 'umbrella' is "na-na-na" for some reason. i know once she starts on this journey of speech, she'll be talking 19 to the dozen. as it is, she jabbers non-stop already, mostly to her cot companions, Peter Rabbit and her various donuts. God alone know what they talk about.
