looking through the eyes of a child

maeve cannot concentrate on nursing these days as the world at large is much too exciting! she nurses for 2 seconds and scans the room with awe and wonder in her eyes, then nurses again, in order to scan the room...again. my adult mind says, but what's there to see? same ol boring room! but i guess the baby mind is thinking, wow! look at the curves of the lampshade! look at the way the light glows and casts shadows! i now understand what the God means by looking at life through the eyes of a child. we adults have lost the wonder that is God's creation and have failed to marvel at the simple things. today, i wondered at the sound of the broom sweeping leaves downstairs. i like the swish-swish sound it makes.
