monster's ball

last night was nothing short of eventful. maeve refused to sleep, waking like clockwork every hour and practising her newly aquired monster sounds, so from the cot, she thumps her feet and growls...and of course, bursts into tears that flood the little pillow when mommy doesn't notice her. hence, i am beyond exhausted. motherhood doesn't entitle you to sick leave, down time, Me time, or the other perks that come with working. i can't believe i'm saying this, but i actually miss work. ooh!!! my pumpkin is trying to flip again!
